In Gremio in praxi-Leather without borders

Introduction

The idea included in the title ,, Leather without borders ,, has many meanings: territorial, chronological and factual, because the archaeological material presented in the book comes from different circles, places and periods:   from prehistoric artefacts found at the famous ,, Iceman ,, through parts of medieval helmets made of organic materials found in Damascus to modern Iberian objects. The studies included in the volume focus on objects of various kinds (shoes, weaponry, equestrian equipment), made of various types of leather, including fish, preserved in different climatic, geological and social conditions, presenting various research, conservation and museum challenges.
